R.B.V.R.R. Women’s College, popularly known as Reddy College has been a pioneer in Women’s education, bearing a testimony to the efforts of its founder Raja Bahadur Venkatrama Reddy in providing quality education to women. Established in the year 1954, by the Hyderabad Mahila Vidya Sangham, the six-decade-old institution offers various UG and PG Programmes besides Certificate Programmes to empower women students.

The college has the rare privilege of having stalwarts like Dr. Sarvepally RadhaKrishnan, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, and Smt. Indira Gandhi as dignitaries. The visit of former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on 5th August 2005 is yet another landmark in our history.

Granted Autonomous status in 1989 by the UGC, the college is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC and was selected as a "College with Potential for Excellence" by the UGC in 2011-12.

MBA Department

The MBA Department at RBVRR Women’s College stands as a pioneer in management education, being the first women’s college in the twin cities to introduce a Business Management Programme affiliated to Osmania University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education. Established in 1991, the department has proudly completed over three decades of academic excellence, shaping future-ready women leaders.

Driven by the core objective of nurturing competent professionals, the department focuses on equipping students with the right attitude, analytical thinking, and industry-relevant skills to excel in dynamic management careers. From an initial intake of 30 students, the programme has expanded significantly to an intake of 120, with a vibrant academic community of 240 students.

In alignment with evolving industry demands, the department introduced the Bachelor of Business Administration (General) programme in 2016–17 and the Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) programme in 2022–23. A distinctive hallmark of the MBA programme is its innovative dual specialisation model—one of the first among women’s colleges—enabling students to gain expertise in two functional domains, thereby enhancing their versatility and employability.

The department integrates cutting-edge learning approaches by embedding Artificial Intelligence into domain-based projects, ensuring students are prepared for emerging industry trends. This forward-looking approach enhances their problem-solving capabilities and positions them as highly sought-after professionals in the competitive job market.
